Pecan Pie Tea Latte: A Customer Favorite!

Pecan Pie Tea Latte: A Customer Favorite!

Some of our favorite recipes don't come from us. They come from you.

This one has been shared again and again by our tea community, your cozy autumn twist on a longtime favorite. Once we tried it, we understood why.

Picture a cool afternoon. Hands wrapped around a warm mug. The smell of caramel and toasted pecan rising with the steam. It tastes like pecan pie, without turning on the oven.

Here's how to make a pecan pie tea latte in your own kitchen.

The tea that starts it all

Our Porch Sippin' Pecan Black Tea does most of the work for you. It's a brisk black tea with caramel, toasted pecan, and a whisper of cinnamon. Steep it strong, add warm milk and a drizzle of maple, and it becomes something that tastes like dessert in a cup.

What you'll need (makes one cup)

  • 🍂 2 teaspoons Porch Sippin' Pecan Black Tea
  • ☕ 6 oz hot water
  • 🥛 4 oz milk of your choice
  • 🍁 1 to 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup, to taste
  • ✨ A pinch of cinnamon, optional

How to make it

  1. Steep it strong. Add your tea to 6 oz of just-boiled water and steep for 4 to 5 minutes. You want it bold, since the milk will soften it.
  2. Warm the milk. While the tea steeps, gently heat your milk. For that café feel, froth it with a whisk or frother until it's light and foamy.
  3. Sweeten with maple. Stir the maple syrup into your steeped tea. Start with one teaspoon, then add more to taste.
  4. Bring it together. Pour the milk over the tea, top with the foam, and finish with a tiny dusting of cinnamon.

Then find a quiet spot and slow down for a minute.

A little something on the side

This latte was made for pairing. Our tea community loves it with a few Classic Shortbread Bites, buttery and tender and just sweet enough to echo the maple in your cup. A little treat for an ordinary afternoon.

We'd love to know how you make yours. More maple? A splash of oat milk? Iced instead of hot when the weather turns? Share your version with us, and the next recipe we feature might just be yours. 💜
