Production Lead / Head Tea Blender

The primary objective of the Production Lead/ Head Blender, is to oversee the daily operations of the production department in conjunction with the Production Manager. This includes the day to day leadership of the production team in addition to being the head blender.

The Lead is required to be well versed in all processes of the production department and support the production team as needed in preparing our popular loose-leaf tea blends. This includes helping prep packaging, filling teas, building kits and completing other general warehouse tasks to support our tea makers and warehouse staff as needed.

Alongside overseeing the department’s daily operations, they are also responsible for all aspects of the blending department including blending teas according to batch log recipes, flavoring teas as required, and blending custom orders. They are also responsible for prioritizing the daily tea blending needs, receiving and inspecting received goods, as well as tracking inventory.

This position is a full time (40 hours), hourly position. The position based in our Portland, Oregon facility.

    Plum Deluxe has a very strong company culture. This is partly due to our niche in tea as well as our values of team, intentionality, and fun lending themselves well to a co-located group of individuals. Plus, we manufacture and ship physical goods! We've found remote employees rarely as as happy or successful as those located with us in our office/warehouse, so while we cheer on the organizations who have found success with remote employees, it is rare that we post part- or full-time positions that are remote.
