Pears & Cinnamon Tea was the winner in our recent customer appreciation month vote – it won by a landslide, which tells you how good it is. The combination of pears and cinnamon in an herbal tea makes for a healing brew – in fact, so much, it has historical significance.
Spain’s most revered mystic poet, St John of the Cross, was kidnapped in 1577. Imprisoned for 10 months before escaping – and near death due to dehydration and starvation – he sought refuge in a convent. The nuns nursed him back to health…. with warms pears and cinnamon.
So simple and yet so warming, comforting; it’s healing for both emotional and physical needs. Wonderful with a splash of cream and/or sweetener.
If You Have Not Bought This Yet, What Are You Doing?
What are you doing with your life if you have not tried this yet. This is my go to at night time when I am craving for something sweet and dreaming of chocolate, this does the trick every time.
AND I have a major sweet tooth that is very hard to control.
If you are like this in any way, please try this tea. You will not regret it and it is a much healthier option than munching on candy.
I will have to be buying a large order of this because I love it so much!
This tea was refreshing and had a definite pear flavor. The cinnamon wasn't overwhelming, ehich can sometimes happen. I never needed to add sugar because the flavors were sweet enough straight from the bag.
This is one of my top teas that I've tried from PD. I really like the gentle flavor of the pears with the cinnamon, it's such a nice blend and more unique than the apple cinnamon you see everywhere. I hope there are more pear flavors coming in the future!
