If you haven’t discovered the taste bud blessing that is savory + sweet, let us introduce you to our chocolate rosemary caramel herbal tea. We were enjoying some rosemary infused caramels in our office one day, and found they paired delightfully with chocolate chips. They were so good, in fact, we decided they’d be amazing in tea. It’s got hints of herbaceousness, hints of sweet cocoa and caramel (burnt vanilla), with both honeybush and rooibos tea for balance.

About the Tea Maker
I'm Andy Hayes, founder of Plum Deluxe and chief tea maker. Please allow me to walk you through the process I use to create the unique tea blends you'll discover being a Plum Deluxe tea drinker. While you may be envisioning lab coats and a giant factory with stacks of ingredients and curious equipment, the Plum Deluxe studio in Portland, Oregon is decidedly more low-key.
I start with an intention in mind - a great tea to sip while reading a book, the perfect tea for cheering on a holiday celebration, an ideal tea for serving after a big meal. I draw upon my intuition and years of experience to blend up 2 or 3 different "test teas."
Using ingredients from around the world, our flavors are often informed by our love for the Pacific Northwest. Examples of this can be seen in our limited-edition Portland Rose City Chai and the best-selling Oregon Breakfast Black Tea. Next, I steep, sip, review, adjust, repeat. Teas that pass muster often go out to a small group of "tea testers" for further evaluation. Only the best teas are hand-blended in larger batches for our Plum Deluxe customers.
We are a small, specialized, family-owned-and-operated business. You have my promise that everything we make is blended with love, positive intentions, and so much gratitude for you, our Plum Deluxe customer.

This is the most surprising tea I've ever had. Reading the ingredients I thought I would hate it, but I loved it so much I can't stop buying it. It is perfect for that evening snack craving since it's both savory and sweet and caffeine free!
At first look, I didn't think I'd like this tea because chocolate and rosemary together sound strange to me. However, it was a very delicious combination!!!
Great tea! The rosemary adds a very unique taste profile to the sweeter notes that makes this a delicious teas. I've noticed the longer you steep the stronger the rosemary becomes, much like ginger, so you can control the savoriness some.
Even though I personally did not enjoy this tea, I will say this tea hit the flavor profile perfectly. I just am not a huge fan of rosemary (or other savory herbs) in tea. However, I did feel it blended well with the other ingredients in the tea. The rosemary is kind of powerful, so keep that in mind when ordering.
I really like Rosemary tea, but I had not had it blended with caramel before. Plum Deluxe created an exceptional blend with this infusion, and the cocoa nibs gave it a depth that I found most satisfying. The caramel taste I would compare more to Vanilla Bean, but this is in no way a negative thing! On the contrary, this tea is both sweet and savory and I highly recommend it, especially if one enjoys a savory tea. When I drank it with a spot of milk (I never add sugar) the caramel and cocoa were stronger and the rosemary thus made more subtle.
