It’s that time of year when Plum Deluxe staff are taking a quiet moment to reflect on the past year, and planning a promising new year.
One of the things we are always curious about — and it seems you are, too — is what articles and topics were the most popular over the year.
No matter how you found us this year, we’re glad your here. Take a look at the best of Plum Deluxe in 2014. Maybe there was something special you missed. Maybe there’s one of your favorites here that you’d like to re-enjoy. Or maybe there’s a topic that you definitely want to incorporate into your routine in the new year. So, grab a glass of sparkling wine and enjoy!
Give Yourself Some Gifts
It seems that we all need a bit of permission to treat ourselves to the essentials that we didn’t get last year. One of our first articles published in 2014, and one of the most viewed, was a few small recommendations on gifts to get yourself, authored by Margo, Plum Deluxe staffer and one of our favorite writers.
The Tea Party Is Back
Of course, the biggest news of all in 2014 was the launch of our new organic loose leaf tea shop. One of our most popular articles this year was from Krista, who wrote a fabulous tip-guide (recipes included) on how to host a modern tea party. It’s totally the thing to do in the new year. Hot tea, delicious snacks, and hearty conversation courtesy of another one of our favorite authors, Krista.
Surprises In Your Mailbox Monthly
Our inboxes are overflowing, and it seems we want our mailboxes to be the same with the rise of monthly subscription services, including Plum Deluxe’s own tea of the month club. No matter if you’re wanting healthy treats, personal care products, or other random options, Lora gives you the lowdown on these amazing monthly subscription services.
Take a Moment – and Stretch
We’re all about mindset and mindfulness at Plum Deluxe; it is at the heart of our philosophy, without a doubt. So it’s no surprise that when contributor Monica offered up 5 most excellent suggestions on yoga poses to help you live in the moment, folks were hitting the mat with pleasure. Taking a few minutes during your day to stretch and give your body a chance to catch up is a beautiful thing — and so are these five poses.
Let Them Eat Cake
Last but not least is our growing dinner party recipe repertoire. It seems everyone wants cake; my own chocolate chip orange celebration cake is tops for this year. It’s the perfect easy cake for any celebration — and who doesn’t like chocolate and orange?! Made as a bundt cake, this could even be made as a loaf cake. It goes well with tea, laughter, and friends.
